Type of Businesses

Businesses come in all sizes—from your local hardware store to Lowes Home Improvement Centers. The objective of most businesses is to earn a profit, or to receive more value for the goods or services provided than the cost to make or provide those goods and services.

There are three main types of business: Service Businesses like Delta Airlines or The Walt Disney Company. The second would be Merchandising Businesses like Walmart and Amazon. And the third would be a manufacturing business like General Motors or Dell Inc.
